Abby Volta is an emerging singer-songwriter and bassist. They defy typical genre boundaries by mixing Goth, Alt Rock and Post Punk. Fusing poetic lyrics with driving bass lines, Volta’s music tells meaningful stories with themes of feminism and queerness. Pulling from multiple inspirations they are best described as a mix of Fiona Apple and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Abby graduated from Berklee College of Music with a  Bachelors in Music Business Management. They have played shows around New England and New York at venues such as Mercury Lounge and Ralph's Rock Diner. Their singles “Noble Beast”, "Bela Lugosi" and “Rabbit Catcher” take inspiration from gothic literature with an alt-rock sound. Their latest single “Highway Hawks” channels the raw post punk energy of Boston's underground music scene.
